Its not far from me and could fit, but I'm not in the market for another bike, I've brought two this year already, also my boiler has gone tits up and I'll be skint after I've paid for it, which is a shame, it looks like it could be a bargain.

Old well used, possible conversion from twelve speed, lug work very similar to steel bikes I had in 1980's/90's, maybe gas pipe job, plenty of room for mudguards, possible restoration project, or just ride as is and use as a runabout.

Track bike, my arse. As The Little Diesel says, it's a geared bike conversion and there's nothing wrong with that. @jonny jeez, would it do you as a knockabout bike, so your belt driven thing remains pristine?

Bear in mind I am not the person selling it, original condition to me means it hasn't been resprayed, the quill stem is likely original too. I am however prepared to defer to your expertise in these matters assuming you have already spoken to the chap selling it.

i know you're not selling it,and yes if you look closely the frame has been resprayed at some time..very badly

The quill stem looks like its been undisturbed for a long time, might be a bugger to shift, the bottom bracket like wise, I've only seen one of that type, on an old ten speed I had in the 1980's, it also looks like the paint is a respray job, and heavily patched up, I wouldn't want to pay much more than £50-£60 for it.
