My first post I believe

A few months ago I acquired a 1982 Peugeot singlespeed road bike, initially I did think I'd bought a real shed but spent some time with it and finally got it to something I am happy with. I was bored one afternoon and did some mooching about the interwebs and came upon this post:

It's the same bike, ha!

So anyway the bottom bracket was stated to be none replaceable but got a sealed fitted no problems (Geoff Smiths in Bolton!), removed the rear brake and fitted a longer reach brake, only cheap budget Shimano but does the job adequately. The front wheel had a loose spoke and was pretty buckled although not that badly. I decided it needed new wheels and ordered some from high on bikes - they came and were mounted last week! Saddle's been replaced and I will be putting on new bar tape next week! I'm going for a blue/white look. The stickers were taken off as they were a little tatty and there is a plan for a respray in the none to distant future.

Anyhoo picture attached

The wheels are Novatech hubs, not sure on the rims but I got them from 'high on bikes' online a lot of different colours.

The maroon bin is for plastic  although since the local bin collectors have been missing streets it's now ful of none recycling stuff
