A strange request.

So my water bottle seems to have accumulated some sort of mildew in the bottom of it...

Eww.

What do people recommend for cleaning these things? I've tried bleach (yuck, hate the stuff but I had to try), your average washing up liquid and a good shake, boiling water... what else can I try? What will work? I don't want to junk the bottle because its rather wasteful, and actually I quite like the thing. So what can I do?

Try that brush thing they use on babys bottles...might clean it up for ye. Mildew....the new stamina drink?

I use milton in my Camelbak, water bottles and fishtank. Fish haven't complained yet .

how much are new bottles?

This particular bottle? About £12 - but this isn't an ordinary bottle. Many are pretty cheap, but I don't like to use and dispose.

Never had the problem so cannot really answer but to avoid the problem in the future keep your bottles in the freezer.

This has never been a problem for me. And I never heard of this 'milton' stuff. Not even aware it was needed by some!

My bottles go in the dishwasher on a weekly basis. Perhaps that has something to do with it?
