A surprise 100 and new gps to purchase I'm thinking

A very windy bike ride in the Tour De Broads today. I should have cycled the 75 mile course but Garmin did its usual route calculation error in the first 10 miles and being a muppet I missed when the course split so I ended up on the 100 mile route. So today I managed my first ever 100 mile cycle Having a beer to celebrate!

But what gps would you recommend as I need one for the LEJOG in 7 weeks as well as a map
How many points is a 100 mile in the monthly challenge ?

I think this is a Garmin v other system issue. I also had RWGPS on my phone, very different results. RWGPS gave 3100 feet of climbing, bizarre

May not be necessary

The problem is usually in settings

You want to take a route, SatNav applies the fastest / shortest algorithm and replaces it

There are a nimber of threads on here about how to tame the Garmin Beast
