This just doesn't compete with cycling. Out riding one sees everything, experiences anything that's around and it costs very little to operate. It looks from the photo that there would be a very good reason to stay indoors, but you could do that at home. Now, if it was planned to motor to a stopping point then bike from there ? A friend did that in France, stopped at various villages and had a great time cycling around the local sites.

It's just different.

As an ex sailor the thrill of sailing is easily the equal of cycling tbh..

The joy of pootling along the canal is very much similar to riding down country lanes.

I have been looking at them canal boat and cycle holidays in Europe they book up early
