I guess you could say that about the 4th one, its through cycle scheme so I guess I'm owning it on behalf of the company.

Which is a casual cyclist. And i mentioned experienced because its the experienced cyclists who tend to think they are serious cyclists, commuting 30 miles a day to work for 5 years does not make you a serious cyclist, just an experienced one.

I should own up to having two and a half bikes and a KMX but not cycling much except indoors on a trainer or when it is dry and I don't have tools to carry or too far to ride.

I also have many and varied interests.

I would imagine a pre-requisite of a serious cyclist would be that they don't give a sh*t about 'classifications' of cyclists and just get on with the cycling?

When we went camping a family pitched up just along from us with four bikes on the roof of the car. The bikes stayed on the roof and we never saw them ride at all.

So are there CCers who just drive around with bikes strapped to their cars?

I was on a campsite on the continent where a bloke in an adjacent tent got on his bike to ride over to the wash block. It was the only time he ever used it.

I suppose it was more of an incontinent bike.
