Good on you chap for keeping a look out.
I once asked a young lady if she minded me giving her a piece of advice about the dangers of filtering up the left hand side if vehicles. All I got back was "it's nothing to do with you, I'm fine as I am, blah blah blah" I left her with the sentence, "just have a think about it, please don't become another statistic"

Why not just post your advice, rather than a "missed connection" advert? Because
  1. you may help others, as well as the lady you want to advise. She is surely not the only person in the universe with trouble doing a right turn across 4 lanes of traffic.
  2. if I thought it was me, I would most certainly not send you a pm.
  3. others can critique your advice, and maybe even offer you hints.

Is this by "Kebab Town"? Every time I go past there I sing "This town ... is comin' like kebab town".

No charge for the earworm.;)

Do you do the same with 'young men' too? What reaction do you get? Also @jonny jeez

I'd be tempted to simply compliment the lady by saying "Wow, you're braver than I am!", on the grounds that it's something she couldn't reasonably take offence to, but on the other hand it might make her think "why is he calling me brave, am I doing something he thinks is dangerous?".

Other than that, there's not much you can do.

I would talk to her. She doesn't have to heed your advice, and she might be rude, but at least you'll have tried to help. I've stopped a few people who have ridden by with rucksac webbing or luggage straps perilously close to getting caught in their rear wheels and they have all been appreciative.

I do know that stretch of road, both from driving and cycling, but I never turn there. It's quite busy and, being quite wide (2 lanes each way), vehicles are often going in excess of the 30 limit. Cars are also doing a lot of lane changing, trying to get in the right lane for the upcoming lights, and to go around buses at the bus stops, and just to get in front. I think there are a couple of pedestrian islands in the middle of the road. There was a load of digging up on the Northbound side recently. All in all not a very pleasant bit of road for cycling on. Not bad for just going straight on, but not a destination that I look forward to.

I'd rather not to be honest. If I were the cyclist we are talking about I wouldn't like the fact that guys are critiquing my riding styles on the Internet.. Besides, this isn't really an advice post, more of a hope that the rider was a member.

Sorry

Yep, that's it. It's proper tricky bit of road to sling a right on.
