Abuse from a car loads of F**kwits

Minding my own business at a set of lights......

"oh Mr postman la..la.... give us your lights" (red bike, with red top, and lots of lights - technically correct.....)

I shrug it off, offer a quick reply, then hear 'what the F*** did he say'..........'Give us your lights'.

Anyway, put the hammer down, and leave the crappy Pug 206 standing - takes him quarter of a mile to catch me.....

Expecting this to happen.......... 'YEARRRGH, GIVE US YOUR LIGHTS' screamed at me in my ear - I'm doing over 25 mph on the flat........

Car stops at lights, hear more abuse and filter past slowly.....3 lads in car....

Lights go green, again off I ride, quater of a mile.....'YEARRRGH, GIVE US YOUR LIGHTS' screamed at me in my ear.........

By now I'm getting a bit cross (cover your ears - I swear)..... car goes past. Right then......traffic again......I quickly catch up, think...my turn..... get right by the window, just before the guy starts again, and 'BOOO' I go....

Some choice language exchanged. They then turned off. This 'exchange' went on for 4 minutes though...

I'll be reporting them tomorrow.....

Well done Fossy for staying calm and not being intimidated, though I find when I'm cycling the adrenalin rises fast. I might have been tempted to hang back for a few minutes myself.

I had a run-in with some kids in a jeep cherokee the other week. We had a little dialogue about the 178 box after I filtered into it and sat side-on infront of his revving engine. Eventually I went to the drivers window for some direct words and there was a fat kid in the passenger seat was giving the 'big yam'. I said to the kid "I bet you can't even ride a bike fatty."

He went from his mtv gangsta demeanour to looking very babyish, hurt and spluttering his incoherent attempt at invective. His mates were all on to it immediately. Exposed. I just rode off.

We passed each other a couple of times and they shouted shoot becuase they had to keep face and for the sanity of the gang...

But I knew better, and so do you
