My Brooks 'mattress' saddle weighs 1kg (including the clamp). It's not even comfortable, you have to balance on the springy bit to stop the hard frame digging into you. I'm going to swap it with the saddle on my spare bike.

That doesn't surprise me. I had a Lancia Beta Coupe, which was a fantastic car, I loved it. But it was scrap value after 8 or 9 years.
I also had a Beta Monte Carlo which was superb, but that didn't last long either.

Well, overall I've probably spent more on my bike than on my car, but it's a close run thing. I think the car would win on resale value, but neither is worth much.
