We do not appreciate how lucky we are to have the Gulf Stream. Any interruption and we are goosed.
*I* very much appreciate it, and like to do my bit:
So every year I take a flight to the Gulf of Mexico and pee in it.

Whilst I half knew such things I've just returned from a few days in Vienna where it was between +1 and minus 4 or so; unsurprisingly a good bit colder than Bristol. What did surprise me was reading that 30C or more is quite typical for the Vienna summer, which is a good bit too hot for me !

Over the weekend, I've eaten Kiwi fruit skin with the the fruit for the first time!![]()
remonds me of the Grand Daughter - she was staying overnight last weekend and wanted her Gran to help her make some cookies for her friends
Her Gran introduced her to the old "licking the bowl" concept
Then she realised and complained "YOU MADE ME EAT RAW EGG"
Then "I'm gonna die now" but the last bit was with a laugh
Honestly - fancy teaching them to bake in school and not including licking the bowl!!!
I remember hanging around in the kitchen when my mum was making cakes, waiting for "scrapers" (the right to scrape out the mixing bowl)Honestly - fancy teaching them to bake in school and not including licking the bowl!!!

Next week, figs ??
I didn't know that Kiwi fruit skin was edible either!I've had figs for few years, I honesty had no idea you could eat Kiwi skin until few days ago, I used to slice them open and just eat the fleshy fruit until Friday. Surprised me how easily the Kiwi fruit could be chewed into pieces.
