Rutland Cycling gave me a £20 refund and I've touched it in with a black Sharpie - you can only notice if you look up really close. I have another issue: both brake discs are rubbing:

Have you sorted the rubbing now?

Your bike is going to get little chips and scratches and possibly a few big ones - it's a pain at first but it's a bike that's there to do a job. Some people wrap theirs in cotton wool (fair enough if that's what they want) but a bike is to be used.

Going to take it out for its first ride tomorrow morning as its been raining here last few days. Its forecast to be dry and sunny tomorrow morning. I'll see how it goes tomorrow and see if the brakes sort themselves out first as Rutlands suggested.

Planning on enjoying my new bike and looking after it rather than wrapping it up in cotton wool.

Took it out on its first ride today - only 4 miles but I really loved it. Really happy with it. Neither the front or back brakes are rubbing at all now. I've ordered a gel saddle cover as I found the saddle to be a bit uncomfortable.

Get padded shorts not a gel saddle if planning to do any distance, the saddle covers can shift and chafe. Have the pad next to skin, no undies
