adware removal

    Anyone know of a free download for an adware removal tool?

    Some kind soul has sent me AntiSpywareSuit - I'm not sure how it got by all the anti virus/adware/spyware stuff I have on this pc:wacko:

    Yes, you can download Ad-Aware SE Personal from download.com

    The other one I use is Spybot

    Both are free

    Her indoors ;)(who's considerably cleverer than me with PCs ) uses Windows Defender.
    Free download i gather...

    I vote for AVG free anti spyware and anti virus...just google it and download it for free.

    A bit OT but I think the death penalty should be brought back to deal with the scum that make this spy ware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I've got Windows Defender, AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy and Trend Micro Anti-Spyware (only the latter wasn't freeware).

    Always best to have at least two - they always find things that the other doesn't.

    You do get paranoid about these things working in IT ;)

    And switch from Internet Explorer to one of the other browsers. It's IE's baggy security that lets most of that rubbish on in the first place.

    what a surprise, you manage to sneak into a PC query post telling everyone you've got a mac.

    why don't you change your id to 'macstilleyedye'?
