I have noticed that if I go for a ride every two or three days rather than every day, I feel stronger for it: I am referring to my legs. I am deducting from that , that it must be age related, coming up to 67 next month.

Why do you deduce that?

It's taken you until 67 to realise that if you ride every day you will be in a state of permanent fatigue and it actually takes three days to recover from a hard ride?

Also that when you have recovered you do actually feel stronger!

If I have a few days off the bike I definitely feel stronger and climb hills which are on my regular route with greater ease. At 67 you are of course still a relative youngster. I cannot understand why people in their 60's refer to themselves as old when mebbe I could accept middle aged.
