I've just had a birthday and I feel like a new woman...
And wood is now a drink...
@Ganymede and on that note, I have just signed up to Tai Chi classes!I'm with @ScotiaLass, keep your inner teenager! I am more adventurous and more aware of keeping fit and enjoying myself now than I was then. I took up skiing at 46 and can now happily take on the Face Olympique black run on my own, which is something that I never, ever thought I would do. I'm not a fast or racing cyclist and I believe in pleasure more than I believe in competition, and I also believe in making the most of it while you've got it! I'm with @rich p on the outdoor swimming too - alas I don't live by the sea but I have a lake nearby that I was in only the other day. Briefly, to be fair, since it was chuffin freezin, but the screams were part of the fun...
it's not quite wood but preferableI have no idea what that means.
What the?????And wood is now a drink...
I don't remember being 40....
Bigger, fitter, faster, stronger than any youngster.
PS I may have fibbed about being faster.
Surely there are some old Pathe News reels of the blitz knocking around somewhere?![]()
Don't you just hate it when you are bimbling along in a strange area, and some aged local speeds past?
What a bloody cheek!!!As everyone else says, age is just a number. I've known plenty of 30 year old men and women who acted and dressed as if they were 60. .
