Hi HM. I'm just along the road from you in Kirkliston. What do you ride and I'll look out for you.

I think the worst/best bit is the exposed section between us

Currently breaking in a Merida 880-24 Shiny Red or usually a Merida Speeder I8.

Got to agree the bit between Kirky and Winchy is a bit exposed especially coming up the hill from Kirky.

Are you doing PfS ?

I've decided that wind is just a state of mind. I expect to go slower in a headwind, so I just gear down, spin faster, and go with it. I'll get there when I get there. If I try to ride at normal speed into a headwind, I just beat myself up, and arrive at my destination 2 minutes sooner, and worn out.

BentMikey: I agree with you! My bent is FAR easier to ride in stiff winds than my safety bike. I seldom use the bent for commuting, though. I was thankful for it one day last winter, though, when the temperature was -18 and I had to face a stiff headwind on the ride to work!

Nope. Working I'm afraid:sad:

Pity. Cause the route comes right through us. Could have nipped home for a cuppa:smile:
