Long time ago (1989/1990) I went to see Michael Barrymore for a works Xmas bash at the The Circus Tavern in Purfleet (we pass it on the Southend Fnrttc and Sig always points it out) and everyone was falling off their chairs laughing. Mrs KH and I just looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders. Just didn't get it. Still don't.

Its Vic Reeves, was great now not.

+1

I've met him on a number of occasions and I found him to be a total cock in "real life"....

Bob was cool and is probably a lot funnier too....funny point, if you ever watch old episodes of any of their shows, you will spot Bob referring to Vic as by his real name on numerous occasion's

The most unfunny mainstream 'comic' is that idiot Billy Connolly. Non-stop swearing - oh how hysterical. Laughing endlessly at your own hopeless jokes - pathetic. Being sixty'ish, having long hair and thinking you are twenty still, cringing. Why can't he just bog off back to California, or better still kill himself live on TV so we can ensure he does it properly.

I think he's great. Another vote for McIntyre here. Shite.

Connolly used to make me laugh... not now... same with Ben Elton, since he went all "Queen" and "musicals" on us... had his day, basically, but I like some of his books. MacIntyre I actually find pretty amusing, same with Frankie Boyle, but in smallish doses...

Billy Connolly used to be very funny. Whether he still is or not I don't know. I do have a thing against professional Scots though, who will do anything for Scotland apart from actually live there.

Al Murray - is just utter pish. White wine for the lady shite is just sooooo boring.

Billy Connolly - Was funny, not now. Trys to get by on swearing alone. An Audience with from the 80's was genius though

Ben Elton - Was very clever and funny at one point then lost it. His first couple of books Stark and Gridlock were great to be fair.

Lee Evans - Don't get it as a stand up. Better at acting. Hate to be the sweaty git's dry cleaner

Michael McIntyre - can have his moments in a show but the other 80% is just crap
