Noticed in the settings on my Wildfire that there is a sysytem upgrade available 2.2?
Is it worth it? Will it have any negative/positive effects on the phone?
Cheers.

it should be faster and flash web sites will work, you can put apps to sd card also

I updated mine last night, it apparently improves battery life too.

Oh good, you will end up charging it every day anyway if you're on it as much as me

The Apps can now transfer to the SD card freeing up phone memory, not noticed any other changes yet apart from 'Market' looks a bit different.

I get up a lot earlier than the kids 'n' missus, and it's still dark, so I use the torch when getting dressed.

Only if the application is programmed to allow it. I have a Desire running 2.2 and only a quarter of the apps I use allow it. Google itself is the biggest offender, Maps won't run from SD and that's about 10mb.

Yes, maps and the Facebook app take up loads of space...grr... (I'm an avid FB user)... I deleted the app and lived with the online FB mobile page, but didn't take to it, nor HTCs 'friend stream' pile of pants.

If I could move them to SD, and also have some kind super-battery, I'd be a hppy bunny. As it is, I don't use the cycling apps (endomondo etc) coz of battery issues... I know I could over say a 4-5 hr ride, but prefer to make sure I have power for emergencies if needed.

Charging wise during week, well, I spend most of my days at a desk in front of a PC, so just keep it charging via USB most of the time.

had my wildfire from the weekend and it is fantastic! Way better than my old windows 6.5 htc!

It's running 2.1, but I can't see any updates for 2.2?

How do you get the torch MrP?

I've just upgraded and can't find it.
