Ah ha, yes, that's another thing ... valve caps that crack and become useless when you overtighten them just a smidge.

Blimey, I'm turning into a right old grump!!
<curmudgeon>Yes, damn it! Nothing's built to last any more.</curmudgeon>

Yes, Leicestershire stole the cheese name from the village of Stilton in Huntingdonshire. Part of the reason for the nickname "thieving foxes" innit? ;)

Also, Melton Mowbray pork pies should die a firey death for being a freak with uncured meat. The best thing to have is a good slice of gala pie with egg, so that everyone gets the right balance of pastry, meat and egg

And Kasabian. :headshake:
Sod Kasabian,

I'm surprised there's been so many replies given that @EasyPeez covered just about every possible gripe in his OP.

The only addition I can think of is riders who do not listen to information/instruction on a group ride.

I've no problem with people not listening to me, they may think I'm not worth listening to.

But it's frustrating when riders do not listen to stuff they want to know about.

Several examples when I led my group on the York - Humber Bridge 105 mile loop.

I explained in advance on our facebook page and verbally at the start about the two food stops, but that didn't stop me getting several queries about food stops during the ride.

People don't seem to listen or learn even if it matters. I helped at a race at the third drink station on the lap and every time through, the same people seemed not to have figured out that the sponsor's branded paper cups contained the sponsor's sports drink while coke was the brown liquid in the see-through cups and water was the clear liquid... maybe by the final station some were knackered but there seemed a lot doing it every call.
