Another cracking ride

As I close in to my 1st 100miler on Sunday I decided to go for a a bit of a ride to check to see if my bike is running fine after getting it serviced yesterday, went from Chester to Wrexham via Holt then on to Acrefair and back again, total of 43 miles with an average speed of 16.6 mph, well chuffed with myself. Going to give myself a day off tomorrow then a gentle ride on Saturday to loosen myself off for Sunday. The 100 miler is the Pain on the Plain Sportive in Tidworth in aid of SSAFA Foces Help, the forces charity. Cant wait, hoping to complete it within 7 1/2 hours.

Wow, good stuff, 100 miles seems a long way, but it's a goal I have.

Best of luck for that - I hope the weather is favourable for you.

I'm looking forward to trying for a 100 miles in August at the Wiggle Mendip Sportive - my speed won't be anything like yours though so it wouldn't surprise me if I'm marshalled on to the shorter route if I'm too far behind.
