So it is OK to refer to someone who is a friend of the deceased, obviously in deep shock, as claims to be his 'mate' (note the inverted commas). How cavalier and cruel does a 'newspaper' have to get in order to dredge up readership? Is this something 'cool' for a journo to pen?
