I bought a new Specialized bike last year, and it came with a set of aero bars that I know I'm never going to use. They're these ones: http://www.triradar.com/gear/aero-bars-bolt-on-speed/ (no. 8 in the list), and the whole set up looks as if it costs £110 new - pads alone are £90 on the Specialized web site: https://www.specializedconceptstore.co.uk/product/7168/2017-clip-on-clamp-w-pads/

However, looking on eBay, prices actually achieved seem to range between a tenner and £stupid.... If I can, I'd rather avoid the hassle of selling them on eBay, and am thinking of advertising them locally, via ads on local Facebook cycling groups or perhaps here; we're also doing a car boot sale tomorrow, and I'll stick them in the pile for that, too. I don't want to rip anyone off, but at the same time, if they're worth more than a fiver, I'd love to know! Anyone with any experience who can offer me some insight, would be much appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

Are they the normal one or the mint one?

I'm not a fan of aero bars personally, prefer Wispa.

Thank you, but the problem is that I have no idea what a sensible price might be. A fiver? Thirty quid? Either way, I guess it's all profit, because they were an added extra with a bike that I was buying anyway, but I was just hoping that someone might be able to give me a ball park figure. Ebay sold items listings gave me nothing to guage it by at all, as prices achieved varied widely between a tenner-ish and hundreds.

Selling bike parts is on ebay is easy. Just put them up with no reserve and free postage. I've sold several bits and pieces this way and been surprised what people are prepared to pay.

I'm not sure I'd go free postage as it'll cost at least a fiver to send

If they're £100 new I'd maybe ask for £30-50

Try £50 or £60 to start with, you could always lower the price if you don't have any luck.

Thanks everyone for your help. In the end, I put a post on our local cycling group's FB page.

One of the members expressed an interest. Neither of us really had a clue how much they were worth - he offered £20, which was the figure I'd had in mind, so that's where we settled. I might have made a few quid more on eBay, I guess, or could have pushed for a few pounds more, but working on the principle of a bird in the hand etc, I was pleased to move them on and with no hassle.
