A lot of meetings I used to go to the balance was between
a) doing something damn stupid that I would have to fix when it inevitably went horribly wrong
and
b) doing something sensible that would actually work

so we ended up witha balance where it only went a bit wrong and I could fix it quite quickly

I learned to not wait for minutes of the meeting (which were often "creative)
and to send an email to my boss and the Chair of the meeting as soon as I got back to the office saying what we really agreed "just to confirm what I needed to be working on"

If you take minutes you can apportion work to others and
I read something about a bloke with missing limbs who was laughing about his BMI results

apparently his BMI was quite low

wonder why??

But that depends on which height you record his original or his new height!

I think its a disgrace that after 60 years some people dont know who Neil Armstrong was or what sort of trumpet he played.

Your joke prompted me to google Neil Armstrong ( I knew who he was ) and it struck me what he, plus all involved in the mission achieved back in 1969. I had just finished my O Level exams and left school.
So when I’m next taking part in a pub quiz and the question is asked, I’ll know the answer, 20 July 1969.
