On a recent trip to America I was driving along a country road and came across a sign that said "Do you need Jesus :- phone 0801 743892.
I was feeling down so decided to try it.
5 minutes later a Mexican with a tow truck turned up.

I don't get it? I was trying to see if pronouncing Jesus in a Mexican accent sounded like something to do with vehicle recovery?

Normally pronounced Heysus as far as I know.

In short, they didn't.
They all spoke Hebrew and Aramaic.
As an eg the 4 apostles Matthew Mark Luke and John were actually
Matityahu, Marcus, Loukas and Yochanan.
After 1000s of years the names were translated into greek, latin and eventually english.
Also the name we know as Jesus went through the same process, originally being Yeshua
