Try this on the Col de Mines. For added authenticity, it has to be played on a DC-1 Walkman.:okay:

nah - for me Col de Mines would have been

just coming down in the last of the sun:becool:

It was curiosity to see what my cadence was, rather than setting it, if that makes sense

I would imagine that pedaling to a tune as a method to evaluate your "natural" cadence is unlikely to yield representative results as you would tend to follow the beat, thus contaminating the data. Similar with counting as you pedal - too much to do at one time.

Methods I'd suggest-

Whilst only thinking about pedaling:

1) Get a pal to video you and then count as you play it back.
2) Assuming you have a way of measuring your speed, note your gear selection at a speed and back calculate.

Google recognised these two today in spin class. You could look at the tracklist and previews on Amazon etc and see if you can stomach them.

I can listen to this if someone makes me, quite happily - but the thought of me choosing to listen to some of these songs by my own free will... doesn't quite compute.

EDIT: I hadn't realised how huge those images were. That Cycle Workout Mix Vol. 3 appears to be on Spotify - if you have that or don't mind cycling through the ads.
