Thanks for the kind words!
(I'm also on Everythings Under Control doing the shouty backing vocals btw;)).

The track came about after a chance meeting with Matt Black, at a local garage that I used to work at and dropped in , in passing to say Hi.
What was originally only a jam session became Colours The Soul, which then made it onto the album.

Serendipity in action!
Even more bizarre is that I had been a follower of Ninja Tune records for years as Jonathan More(the other half of Cold Cut)had been my Design Technology teacher when I was 13 and I'd always wanted to do a track with Cold Cut.

I dunno if we'll do any more tracks as they vary their collaborations widly.
It was an excellent experience as the music is a bit of a departure from what I have done or usually do and the whole recording/writing process is very different.

Colours The Soul has been used quite a bit here and there, Somewhere in the world there are even people with my song as their ringtone!
When the album was first out I got a call from a friend at 7 one morning to tell me the song was playing on R4's 'Today' programme in a trailer for a programme about the culture of alcohol in the House Of Commons.

Add that to Top Gear and it's funny that a song composed by a 'tea total cyclist' got used for these programmes!
