Anyone cycling on Christmas day?

I need to double check but I have scheduled in my calendar a club ride for Christmas day from Sandbanks ferry to Corfe Castle and routes around ( I imagine). We normally stop for lunch on these rides.... so I wonder how we are going to manage this on Christmas day

First time out on bike for ages today! A wee 12 mile local ride on the MTB.. Nicest day here for a long time, and I was just getting in the mood for an all day effort when I thought better of it - Christmas dinner at my brothers beckons .

I was planning a ride today until Mrs SG came back from her Parkrun (she drove there and back) and told me about an extremely near miss with a Taxi that run a red light on the way there and a bad smash she was at another set of lights on the way back. Seems the idiots are out in force today.

Got myself out for thirty miles this morning, a lap of the Outer Ring Road. Enjoyed it but my fitness is down the pan, having not had a proper ride for a couple of months. Far too many nobber drivers out on xmas morning.

Thirty miles this afternoon, was a nice bright day for a pootle so pre-war single speed Humber roadster, coming home along unlit, completely traffic-free roads in the soft, warm amber glow of the Miller headlight. Heaven
