Also worked for me (read April's Cycling Active interview!) - and decided 'I can do that too'.

Since 'that' has cost me over £2k so far since March plus the cost of a new wardrobe, where do I send the bill?

Just don't send me the bill :0)

Fair enough. I'd guess that you'd be bankrupt if everyone who'd read your blog, acted on it and succeeded passed on the cost

I think so. SWMBO's not sure - she seemed to like the larger, less active, couch potato me  . However, he won't be coming back ^_^

Poor but it would be worth it :d

Why is someone called a name for owning a car?
Because it's an abhorrent choice of bloated wnak-panzer and frankly not something to be proud about. If you expect people on a cycling website to be impressed or think owning such a vehicle is cool I suspect you're posting to generate a reaction.
Think about the thought processes that go behind owning and being proud of such vehicles tanks and think whether your cycling world is better with people thinking that way or not?
Put it to a vote, I'm happy to be wrong.

Well he's more up for it than I thought which is good, I think the other lads overexaggerated his lack of enthusiasm. One of the stumbling blocks for getting him out on the group rides is they start at 8am and Ian like a lie in of a weekend. Lazy sod. As family duties prevent me from getting out first thing on a Saturday I'm going to plan s a few rides with Ian for when the time suits us both.
