Lest'ur lost at home, fantastic, lots of p*** taking opportunities at work tomorrow.

All the soddin' world cup stuff has started now, even my local co-op is festooned with flags and giant footballs.... so that means there must be about six months to go before it starts.

No I don't like football.

...and Chelski scored after 6 minutes...I nearly choked on my prawn sandwich.

Watched the Rugby and cricket yesterday, both great results. Today watched the F1 then the football. But thats not what this threads about, so go talk about different sport in a thread not based on football.... maybe?

Glad Chelsea took the title, think they deserve it after the past season. Over 100 goals is a great effort! 8-0 today was unreal. Also glad to see Burnley get a win in the last game, i know spurs wern't exactly fully commited but a great win and a good ending for the fans, no doubt.

Also happy to see Leeds secure promotion, mums from the city so been to a few games before. Beckford is a great talent!

No, it means there a month before it starts.

I'm a rugby fan through and through. But ultimately i'm a sports fan. I can't wait for the world cup, i love the way it brings the nation together, our local pub is jammed for every game! Brilliant atmosphere.

Glad Chelsea won the title rather then Man Utd.
A bit of a tame end to the season, even if the top is often decided there is always a relegation dogfight to shred the nerves, but not this year.

I'd love to see Pompey go out with a bang next week, but I have a feeling they are going to get tonked big time.

I've never seen an 8-0 either....don't generally watch Chelski.

Saw Leyton Wingate beat some team 8-1 in the 1990's but as I joined at 5-1 it wasn't the same.

That was the feeling about the semi-final! I shall have a little bet on them to scrape a win, so hopefully the winnings will cover the extortionate £85 ticket! Whatever the result, it's going to be a big Pompey party in London!

I saw West Ham beat Sunderland 8 -0 back in the 1960's I think it was. Jeff Hurst scored 6.

Was at West Ham yesterday - pretty dull game really.

I was on the North Bank that day, BC. Bobby Moore got a goal too as far as I can remember.

I called into a shop on the way home with my claret and blue scarf on and the shopkeeper and his customers started laughing when I told them the result, they wouldn't believe me.
