I'm off to see friends in Geneva next week, and have been looking into having at least one day on bikes. Seems there's plenty of hire options, including one that's completely free! Pretty cool. However, it seems all the hire places I've found only hire out rather nasty looking 26 inch wheeled hybrids, bar one place doing road bikes for 50 quid a day.

Anyone happen to know of any option I may not have found on the English language internet?

I tried it in French, but again no road bikes.

Thanks for trying
Turns out the road bikes are 50CHF a day rather than £50, which works out about £32 - not sooo bad.

Takes plenty of cash - got to be one of the most expensive places to go in Europe. Everything is dear, absolutely everything, there are no exceptions.

I can vouch for that. I spent 90CHF (about 65 quid) on a day trip last October without even realising it. I only bought a 2 baguettes, few bottles of coke and ice cream, as well as 2 train tickets (went with a mate).

It's very expensive.
