I've got a screw loose!

The screw fell out of my glasses as I came into the office and I spent ten minutes on my hands and knees trying to find the damn thing but I did eventually and now I don't have a screwdriver small enough to fit the screw to tighten it properly so looks like I'll have to visit the optician at dinner time:angry:

On only the second day of her holiday in Japan, my daughter lost a screw out of her glasses, causing one lens to drop out. The lens was undamaged, but the screw was lost. She asked at the hotel reception, and was directed to a local opticians, and located it. Cue much sign language and bowing. Followed by a white gloved technician taking away the specs, and returning about 10 minutes later with them repaired, polished and better than new. But still not satisfied, he insisted on checking that they fitted absolutely correctly before sending her on her way. And the charge? Nothing. They would not even take a donation......

At least Nicola had taken the trouble to learn a few words of simple Japanese, which came in very handy, as she tried to thank them profusely!

The plants I spent an hour potting on Saturday are not doing well, it looks like not many are going to survive.:sad::sad:

My colleague's gonna get an earfull soon.
Late again, another paltry excuse, tractor, lorry, tractor, flooded roads, suicidal deer (that one was fair enough, I saw the damage to his car), alarm diidnt go off...ffs, it doesnt wash.
And to cap it all..you wander in today, just in time, and despite the fact I'm not in the workshop..which means I could have a problem with a machine..and you put the kettle on. Nice....cheers for the help I might have needed.
You're young and learning, I forgive you ceratin indiscressions, I'm not perfect...but you dont potentially leave your colleague struggling, you get out there.

This could go in 'things you'd like to say but can't'.....but I can, and will say it next time you let yourself down.

Only two types of plants survive more than a few months of my care
1. Requires to be flooded all the time (e.g. pitcher plant)
2. Can cope with a drought for weeks (e.g. succulent)

The fact that the replacement wheels for my Dawes Horizion arn't in at my LBS yet.

Most of the time I'm successful, just now and again the green fingers don't succeed, but I have to say most of them are hanging on, so I just need some sun and it might not be too much of a disaster.
