My dad used to have a moggy minor with reg 276 MOG but I don't think people were stupid enough in those days to pay for such a thing. These days, maybe.

I just did a Google search on "UNB registration plate"
There are some utterly uninteresting plates on sale for significant money. Thankfully my old car's isn't among them - I'd be annoyed if it was.

I used to know someone who always had 2 old cars - not classics - just oldish so they were cheap
he had 2 so he could get one fixed when it broke and the other would be working
he had 2 old number plates that he always used on them - ones before the suffix but nothing relevant to anything
