It was on a very ordinary Honda SUV. Haven't seen the plate for a while, maybe they got an offer they couldn't refuse.

Stupid me, it was actually OO1... But I did a VED check and it came back with the same result as you got. Very strange; I can't imagine why anyone would let a plate like that lapse. It must have been worth a fortune.

There was a guy used to drive around here (in a Jag XJS, I think) with the plate CUM 80Y 😳
It’s no longer valid, so I suspect DVLA withdrew it.
