Having said that, even here we are forecast 27° tomorrow and 29° on Tuesday.
At least it’s only going to be two days of discomfort as we are forecast to be back to a more usual 19° by Wednesday.

Lucky you.

Where we are, it's forecast to be 37 Celcius on Monday 18th (Tomoz) & 40 Degrees Celcius on Tuesday 19th July.

They're always 'accurate' here, to within 1-degree

Today was stifling & it was "only" 32-degrees

.

Actually Flick (et-al) - I've just got back from the Pub AND now need to amend THAT latter figure !

They're now saying that it's going to be (an unprecedented) & rather alarming 41 degrees !!!!! (See attachment, below)

The media are just going over the top(as usual) with this.I could understand it if the high temperatures were going to go on for another week or so but we'll be back to normal temperatures by wednesday.

The media don't seem happy unless they are scaring us with some story or other these days. Do they actually report anything good happening?

There is plenty of froth in the papers. 40 degrees is not normal for the UK - and it is only going to get hotter - even if we go to net zero - it will keep getting hotter and hotter for a good few years.

How hot do you want it before it should be reported ? It's not good news for any of us.

Don't panic. It's only two days of heat - we do get one or two days of summer once a year ! Crack out the ice lollies. Reminds me, panic, need to get some lollies in the freezer.

It's not really about the temperature, more that it's expected to be two days only at this level.

A week or more, either hot or cold before they start issuing panic warnings. Don't remember '95 having warnings like this, for two days.
