Advice about what?

I doubt there is any good FREE legal advice unless you can ask Patrick by pretending that you're Arch. Not an easy thing to do I guess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Patrick is pretty helpful. And I have a lawyer friend who started a legal podcast a while ago. I don't know if he's still running it, but depending on what advice you need I could put you in touch with him.

Only on areas of the law I know about. I leave the non lawyers to discuss areas they know nothing about.

Feckless?

You guessed it!!!

I have a BIG problem with Social Services....
I have proof that they (Feckless's old department) have with-held the independent core assessment from the court. It has taken me 5 months to get a copy of it! (Thanks to my local MP) and the report is so upsetting and scary that I don't know where to turn! Social Service won't act on the report unless I make a new referral as the judge has made the ruling - But the judge did not know or seem to care that the core assessment was not there! The whole thing is a mess... my boys are so confused and upset! I'm really at the end the line with this! I don't trust anybody within the system! If they can hide a report that has significant issues regarding their welfare and then refuse to even discuss with me the content.... where do I go? Who do I turn to? At the present feckless is demanding an enquiry into his ex-employers conduct based on it being heavy handed with him because he is gay!!!!! Seems to me they are going to bend over backwards to cover this up and the REAL issue of the boys being treated so badly is being completely ignored. I'll give an example of my son's latest upset.... 13yr old boy asks his Auntie why she is buying his Mother a card for Mothers day instead of letting him choose... She said 'you don't understand what we are doing'! My sons asked me to explain what she meant and why she had bought me a Mothers day card with the picture of a beach on in it with nothing connecting to Mothers day on it at all!!! He was so upset and embarrassed to give it to me! Another one.... We saw each other in the village on Tuesday and because he was with his Granddad he just gave me a subtle wave so not to draw attention to me! We talked about it last night and he is very upset that he daren’t acknowledge me in public when with them!!! That has to be wrong?
Oh...I've 'gone off on one' again - Sorry!!

You need to make friends with a lawyer. My (sadly late) Irish solicitor pal was the most helpful and sympathetic person I ever had the privilege to know. Many others knew this too, which was why he refused to have a telephone in his house. His advice was always diplomatically couched in terms of "well, if I was in such-and-such a situation I would do this..."

Lawyers having witnessed all manner of human foibles are generally pretty good at advising on life's problems.

Just as a thought - is Patrick now acting as Arch's "Agent" now she has celebrity status?

I am indeed and as I type, Arch is being filmed with some large ferns from the local garden centre for "Get me out of this South American jungle." Technicians are colouring a large salami for the "snake" which she will catch, kill and eat.
