Five of those are off the road, mentioned earlier. The charger being part of the problem, also mentioned earlier.
Also they are run less than 100 miles a day.

Note the word intends, as the fleet number has hasn't increased since then. It's down by five, due to charger issues. see earlier posts.

Edited to replace "has" with hasn't

The article from 12April. The links provided are from a couple of days ago. Obviously things have moved along, any teething issues seem to be resolved

I'd much rather be able to walk down the footpath.

Darned commie.

Tesla likes the phrase "intends to".

21+15=36

I wonder what proportion of the total fleet that is?

Available to buy now, up to 300 km range at 44 tonnes, note the magic words up to, in reality it seems to 170 miles tops, not very good if your a trucker on tramping out all week

Indeed. Not bad for local deliveries though; as I said before, othern manufacturers have recognised this and are concentrating on delivery vans and medium sized trucks which travel short to medium distances. This is an area where battery can feasibly be used.

We should be all smiling that thousands of diesel vans will be gone from our towns and cities, providing much cleaner air. Heavy transport will follow on. Really looking forward to when you can walk down a street in a town or cities and not taste , smell the pollution from internal combustion engines

We could have done that any time in the last 30 years, as it isn't really the diesel vans producing most of the pollution, but the cars that form that 99% of road vehicles.

They do like it don't they, I equate it to me intending to win the euromillions lottery, but I haven't bought a ticket in years!

There wasn't the battery technology, practical deployment into a vehicle 30 years ago.

Lead acid, then I remember buying Nickel metal hydride batteries around 25 years.

We didn't need new technology for cities to have clean air. This never was about EV vs IC vehicles: it's whether we build cities for cars or people; you can't do both.

Only one country decided to employ walking cycling first, Netherlands. Other European nations have followed to some extent. Until recently virtually all European cities allowed traffic in large numbers
