I thought it was brilliant, but then I spent most of the time dribbling over Gene Hunt.
Not as good as Life on Mars, but if you don't compare the two and take Ashes to Ashes on its own merits then it's a very good watch. A lot better than Primeval in any case. Dunno why I'm still watching that.

I saw it as a dispassionate sometime watcher and thought it was f*ck awful. Absolutely dire. Mens TV trying to catch the women.

An order of magnitude more shoot than the first series which was pretty shoot in itself. TV for people with shoot for brains.

Good fun, rather than high art.

And great soundtrack - I had forgotten there was so much good music in the early 80s.

I haven't watched TV since I was 3. That was the last time I felt there could be some synergy and symbiosis and whatever between our respective consciences.

So how do you know that Ashes to Ashes was so terrible

Quite...
I think there are some falsehoods here Abitrary... are you hiding something?

Come now, share your feelings with the group.

I liked Ashes to Ashes, as has been said, it's far better than the vast majority of drivel that is fed down the cables to my telly-box.
