Assos Bib Tights not what they claim

Assos have come back to me.

They are pleased to offer me 50% discount on warmer tights if I return the ones I have just bought.
I paid about £200 for those I just bought and the warmer ones cost about £220. That makes the cost of the change £310.

Personally I'd keep the ones you've got and use them when you can - there's no guarantee that you'd find the 'warmer' ones significantly better. (I also find that, as long as I keep my core warm with layers, it's my hands and feet that get unbearably cold first, I've never really had a problem with cold legs.)
