So you would lock up the shouty teenagers that pop up regularly in clips.

You'd also impound the drunken, illiterate EDL shouters?
yet again..your quick to judge But offer no insight to how you would deal with the problem..

It's strange, but I can't help noticing that the most tedious, unpleasant, humourless, and also the frankly most unintelligent and least observant, posters on here have a serious tendency to be former police officers or military types, sometimes both. Thank god for the 'former' is all I can say.
I beg your pudding!

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Not to belittle yesterday at all, but this graph should give some perspective to the swivel-eyed-knee-jerking-loons around here.

Article here.
Wow. It's worth reproducing inline. Of course if we didn't restrict to Western Europe but extended to Asia and Africa it would look rather different.

Actually Islam is incredibly varied, there are some groups that other groups would consider it their duty to destroy. Indeed, Muslims have been the main victims of the militant, whatever they choose to call themselves.

This is true. Sorry if my post was misconstrued to insinuate that I think that it lacking variety. There certainly are different groups within Islam with different objectives collectively - Sufi Muslims, for example, are (from what I have read) largely all about peace and prosperity and all that lovely stuff. As for the groups that you're referring to, I believe that's the concept of Takfirism (sp?) - for example, ISIS is currently persecuting fellow Sunni Muslims for not following their strict rules - or just not being 'Sunni' enough...

As for your last sentence, we agree completely.

Well yes, it is odd that people are happy to chuck something out that has had such clear benefits, on the basis that it is impossible to address its shortcomings without ever really trying to.

The time we've been in the EU has shown no such clear benefits.

Really? I suspect you are taking all the good things for granted and focussing on any negative you can find.

The benefits are balanced by the disadvantages. In any case, we were lied to to get us to join and they're still busy lying to us to induce us to remain.
