I used to lurk on a certain performance car forum and it was surprisingly gentle - one of the biggest spats concerned the reputation of a brand of car shampoo. You used to get horsepower handbags from a few of the usual suspects and that was it. The only thing guaranteed to kick it off was the topic of petrol prices. I blotted my copybook permanently by suggesting during the petrol strike that people who drive cars that scrape 20mpg might not be first in line to bleat about it. Cue angry mob (and mod!), burning torches etc.

I wondered if you were the same Large.
It has changed a bit recently. There was a long break a little while ago while the platform changed. There has been a couple heated threads about BR and Sale and that carried on a bit when the new shedweb was up and running. The chap that runs it is, I believe, considering throwing in the towel at the end of the season. I'm not registered there but I have been a long-time lurker.

Well, I'm glad this thread has brought up some very varied and very funny replies! And if the comments I received on here are anything to go by, my faith in this forum has been restored. BUT, comments on YouTube are a different kettle of fish aren't they? Feel free not to continue this thread anymore, but oh how offensive (and not very original) some people can be. You only need to upload a video of your new tumble drier, and before long are getting hideous insults about how you indulge in incestious acts with various members of your family. Usually from Americans.

Damn right! - we use an airer, much more eco-friendly. We put it under the patio heaters, seems to work much better then.
