The handle bar grips on my Dawes hybrid are soft rubber.
I have noticed that although there is a layer of rubber wrapped over the ends, there are no end caps in situ.
Are end caps a standard size? I'd really like to get a pair asap.

Are the grips moulded so that they cover the ends of that bars?
Yes but they are soft rubber and you can push the end and feel theres no end caps....

are you sure you need end caps with straight bars ?

Yes.

They don't usually have ends if they have rubber, the rubber is there instead, but go for it if you want to cut the rubber away

Why do you want end caps on there? They are not required nor intended to be used with these sort of grips. In fact they will protrude slightly around the diameter of the bar in many cases and possibly make it harder to get the rubber grip back over.

As has already been said, you don't need plugs with those grips.

If you want to fit some you'll probably need to trim the ends off the grips with a sharp stanley blade.

The rubber is thin and soft and you can push through it with your fingers.
I'd rather have the holes covered properly...I have balance issues. If I fall and one of those ends goes through my leg.....
