early / mid 90's I'd guess, V brakes probably an upgrade, most manufacturers went alu in the late 90's

Cleaned up somewhat, gears indexed fine, rear brake cable re-routed (it locked the back brake if you turned too hard...).
Out for a spin!

I reckon mid to late 90s. I cannot see a canti hanger on the seat stays and the ahead set suggests later than mid 90s.

For £7 though, who can complain? Bargain.

The headset marks it as a 1996 bike, assuming of course that it isn't a later edition.

Took it out for 3 miles, up hill and down dale, by my standards anyhoo. Silent except for strange buzzing at speed. Cause? Big knobbly tyres! First time I've ridden any in 20 years. Set of gumwall 1.5 City Jets, methinks.

That's enough of that! You're undercutting my bargain used purchases and making me look extravagant.

Bit on the small side for me but looks a decent quality. You can't really go wrong for 7 quid! There's an early 90's rigid CB with a Reynolds 500 frame that I see regularly (and am impressed by) used as a hack by one of the drinkers at my local. Too good for a pub bike really, IMHO. Weren't they latterly made at the Falcon factory in Brigg?

No idea, it does say hand built in England, so maybe! Have stuck it on the car and taken it to Newquay on holiday to have some blasts around the lanes!
