skinnydog1973 comes on here, posts to say he's broken his neck ... then NOTHING for over 24 hours !
  1. just some "See me ! See me !! I've broken my neck !!" chancer wanting sympathy ! :boxing:
  2. he has a few other things with which to be concerned at the moment ...

Do let us know how you are getting on @skinnydog1973 - if you can see a keyboard ...

- is the bike OK ? :hyper:
- can you still go on a turbo trainer ? :bicycle:

:hugs: ^_^

EDIT: *** this post is intended to be ironic ... (not sarcastic, nor moronic ...)

I don't like to see anyone hurt, but am struggling a bit with the sympathy vote.
Cycling at 18 mph in icy conditions on a path shared with pedestrians sounds like a rather selfish and inconsiderate act to me, my sympathy is directed towards the pedestrians.

Hi I'm still here just to let you know the bike is fine she hasn't even got a scratch on her she's in the garage resting up lol ,as for the ride the cycle track was in perfect condition there was no ice on it at all what happened was a pure accident really as i came round the bend the sun hit blinded me and unfortunately i didn't see the walker till it was too late, you might say i was going too fast but i wasn't really I've seen bikers go twice the speed of that down the line,i would say that it was wrong place wrong time,if i was 1 minute earlier or later this wouldn't have happened, but if we all knew that we would be bullet proof.

Ha Ha yes i still am, i am not looking for the sympathy vote I'm just saying it could happen to anyone, I'm gutted that i will not be able to ride for the next 3 months especially when i had quite a few rides lined up for this year especially the c2c in a day but hopefully that is not till june so i will be back ok for that, but it just goes to show i was quite fearless on the bike but know my head says what if i fall off again i might not be as lucky next time, but i suppose if we thought that we would all take up knitting instead,ps today is the 1 year anniversary of me taking up cycling :bicycle:happy days

So you're less inconsiderate than other people...

Opposite scenario car vs cyclist, i wonder what the majority verdict would be?

Yeah, this passed my mind too, but maybe breaking his neck was punishment enough.
@skinnydog1973 better take up time trial ;)

FFS what is it with some people. The bloke has a broken neck and still the preaching from the moral high ground can't be resisted.
