Were they actually doing anything though?I saw some Lancashire County Council 'road digger' workmen wearing plastic high viz jackets and pants today in 30 C plus temperatures. If i'd been one of them i'd have said sod the health and safety and took the jacket off and maybe even the pants!

They patched up a bit of road,about 20 feet by 4 feet in an hour. They weren't exactly digging the road up with picks and shovels,but they were still stood in the sun!

I did that in Aussie for nearly three yearsI often though about going living in Spain or Portugal in a caravan and finding work there. These last few days have made me think that would be silly! The thought of being in a most likely non air conditioned box having to put up with this heat for about 9 months of the year...….
Yeah but imagine the heat inside the van caused by their hot tea! Terrible!!

I toyed with the thought of going to the sauna/steam room today. No I just could not hack it! I feel like i'm heating up inside day by day. That sauna is more of a chore than pleasure. I go for a natter, and that's about it. Not only that,but the changing rooms are so humid that as soon as you come out the shower you're wet and clammy again!
