Excise Duty is tax. And a bike is a vehicle. And learn to stop at red lights. Just because you aren't paying your way doesn't mean you can ignore the Highway Code.

1. a bike pays the same amount as any zero emission vehicle....

2. There are plenty of people on here against red light jumpers, and speeders etc. There are people who break the laws in both camps. How many cars aren't insured even tho it is a legal requirement. There are plenty of cyclists that are, even tho it isn't.

3 How aren't cyclists 'paying their way'? Roads are funded from council tax.
If you folow this link:
http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14651500#14651500
Its another site, but it shows 3/4 of cyclists also own cars. Guess what, they'll be paying VED on them!

4 I take it you're either lazy or a troll poster because all your issues have been addressed multiple times before. Either you can't be arsed to search the forum to find that, or you're merely posting to get a response.

If you've got a car you should use it on the roads, which are built for cars, not to be playgrounds. Bikes are children's toys. The roads are far too crowded to allow you to play on them, as well as too dangerous.

Everybody in the country has the right to be on the road on a bike. Every council tax payer pays for the roads to be built. All new roads are designed for all road users.

Just because you pay a couple of hundred quid a year to be able to put a car on the road and passed a test to show at one time you had a basic level of competence (which your obvious lack of understanding of the highway code means you now fall below on the theory side) doesn't mean the roads are now exclusively yours.

Try reading the highway code, theres a new edition come out a few months ago.

Check out the price of bikes. They can be well above the level of a 'toy'

that isn't "the police", that's just a forum for all manner of fake police that want to big themselves up, suburban nimbys who want to have a rant about what they see as general lawlessness, and all manner of frustrated little hitlers that don't like what someone's doing.

so I was right about the re-reg then, aswell - dondare obviously.
