An "Imperial Duvel" was released recently. Pretty pokey at 10% ABV. It's supposedly a limited release, so not sure how long and how widely it will be available.

250529 St B extra 4.jpg

St Bernadus Extra 4 4.8% - at St Bernadus' bar*; " a refreshing blond beer that is brewed in the classic 'Single' style", according to the booklet; thought it was very good, easy to drink, especially at 11:30 a.m.
250529 St B Tokyo.jpg

St Bernadus Tokyo 6% - again at the bar; refreshing, more herbal than fruity, ok. Note more folk in the background, it became very busy.
*this place is very geared up to receive locals, tourists, beer drinkers, morning coffee and cake drinkers, cyclists perhaps; the bar/restaurant is huge and has a huge roof terrace with great views of surrounding farm land; very modern outlook, a shop, brewery tour and guest house (11 rooms).
250530 Moinette.jpg

Brasserie Dupont Moinette Blonde 8.5% - at a sidewalk café/resto in Gent; c'etait très bon, very tasty although that could just have been thirst, I think I'm beginning to like this style very much.

Exhibit #3
250531 pm1 St Augustyn.jpg

Brewery Van Steenbergen Augustijn Grand Cru 9% - at De Valk Gastrobar, Merendree; "authentic monastery beer"; good flavour, strong.

La Fourchette - at same place; no idea of ABV, on draft, I ordered it because a 'regular', who came in from an outside table, asked me to order her one when the barman re-appeared; refreshing, good, probably around 4-5% I would guess; later she told me she drinks it because the owner lives in the village!

300601 Omer.jpg

Omer 8% - at a café in a windy, tatty seaside town between Zeebrugge and Ostend; brewed since 1892, "top-fermented, re-fermented in bottle, fine and fruity aroma"; very good , felt strong as first of the day.

You 've only yourself to blame ! Its in a can.
If you want a nice Zesty pint, go for bottle of 'Proper Job' from the St.Austells brewery, you may even find it in a pub near you , if really lucky in a Bottle condition , bottle..
