Best place to park for the Taff Trail

Planning to ride 55miles from Brecon to Cardiff on Sunday on the Taff Trail.
The routine is to park the car near Cardiff Bus Station, unload the bike and ride to the bus station to catch the special 'cyclist's bus' (it has a large bike trailer) to Brecon.
Anyone know a good (preferably free) place to park the car in Cardiff within reasonable cycling range of the bus station?

Never heard about that service before going to look it up, sounds like a great day out.

Fairly certain the car park by the ice rink is free .A google search may confirm this . About 2 or 3 miles to station then about 1 mile from end of Taff Trail when you get back.Parking in the city centre is expensive.

Just thought of a better place. Tredz Bike Shop on Penarth road has car parking infront and behind the store, never seen it full so Im sure it wouldnt be any problem. Its about 2 miles from Wood St (Cardiff Central)Bus station .
