Firefly. Cowboys with spaceships, what's not to like?
Dont think anyone has mentioned Millennium. Some of it did make it to UK tv, but I saw it in same manner as the OP, on a borrowed box-set
I did enjoy The X-files for a few series, but it ran out of legs. It also may have had something to do with my future wife being a big fan and an excuse to share a sofa with her

I just realized I watched way too many tv series in their entirety (to date) last winter, except for Sopranos and Deadwood I watched all the others then. No wonder I gained weight and didn't do any riding.

Being Human, in particular the third series. I was even impressed with Robson Green in this one normally he is a good indicator of something that should be missed at all costs.
All Quiet on the Preston Front
Northern Exposure
The Simpsons
Father Ted.

I would've expected to see some votes for The Killing. The first series at least is compulsive viewing.

So would I, although I preferred Borgen - that is my 2nd favourite

The Wire is my number 1 by a mile for me though.

From the early days would love to see Tomorrow People again
Was a massive Banana Splits and Double Deckers fan as well - kids Saturday am TV was great in the 70s (had the Monkees as well)
