Bike bag for long rides?

I am considering doing a 200 km ride this summer, and after that maybe getting into some longer distances. I don't intend to go for full-on touring, but more like audaxing or credit card touring, as I can't grow a proper beard.

I think I'd need to carry with me some clothing for the ever-changing nature of our summers. Arm warmers, leg warmers, gilet, gloves, shoe covers and maybe even a softshell-type jacket for when it really sucks. I can't fit all this into my rear pockets and the current micro-sized saddle bag is full of spare tyre, cafe lock and related paraphernalia.

I have looked real hard at the Carradice offerings, but these would look somewhat out of place on my sleek nazi German speed machine, and I really can't afford to get a Genesis Croix De Fer just to fit my saddle bag. Something like this by Revelate Designs would probably be nice, but it's expensive and gets more expensive with the shipping and possible tax/customs.

Any suggestions?

Have you considered using a small ruck sack or can you fit panniers to the bike?

I think I'll go for the rucksack option right now, but I really don't think it's optimal. I've got some small rucks from Camelbak and Osprey, and I guess they are as good as it gets.

Panniers are out of the question for this bike. I've got them on a commuterized MTB and they work there, but I don't want to put a rack on my road bike.

I think I am really looking for a Revelate Designs bag but cheaper
I think a RePack from this guy could be worth a try, but it's hard to tell from the pics.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am not very fond of the designs that only attach to the seat tube, not sure why because I am sure they can be fixed securely. I ordered a medium RePack, I should get it in early August. In time for the colder nights that require more clothes to carry.

I've now used the RePack for some time, and it's pretty damned good. With just some clothes and similar lightweight stuff, I don't really notice it when riding. If I have something heavy, like beer, in it, it makes the bike a bit top heavy, but I guess that's true for any saddle bag.
It's easy to use, install and remove, and the price is good as well. I may get other sizes as well.
