I have seen the Saris bones 3 which looks like a very good product however its expensive so are there any alternatives which are as easy to fit as the saris and are as secure.

You would be hard pressed to get an easier fitting rack than the Saris, well worth the money.

i thought so they look robust and easy to fit. ill need to see if i can get a second hand one

Look on eBay, but you will find they hold their price pretty well, good luck with your search.

i spoke to the seller she is gonna keep it over the weekend in case someone local wants it if she does not get a local buyer she will sort out a postage cost for me and i can buy on tuesday

I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the Saris, IMHO the best bike rack currently available.
