Others do, they don't make them big enough for me
I've never seen a bad report. Wiggle sell Assos, as do Sigma Sport, free delivery and free returns

I thought you'd got a super duper new saddle, has it not cured the issue? It might be time to consult a doctor perhaps?

I did 100 miles in sportful shorts on Sunday. Minimal soreness! They get my vote now

I spent 3 hours with Adrian Timmis for about £170 and it was worth every penny, not only did I get a good fit but also the chance to pick his brain about many other things in cycling.

I'm in the same boat as a lot of people then. Just can't seem to justify paying someone to adjust a few bits and tell me to straighten my back and bend my arms.

I'll take a picture of me side on if I can. See if there's anything dramatically wrong.

Kids are far and away more important, I would only spend totally disposable income on myself, it has always been that way.

I had one with Adrian too. Worth every penny, plus as Screenman says you get to have a good chat and pick his brains into the bargain. The Sidas custom footbeds are included too.

It's not cheap but it's all relative really, you can pay a whole lot more for kit that in reality makes b*gger all difference. You're getting a tried and trusted fitter instead of possibly shelling out £150 just for someone with 2 days training and next to no actual fitting experience to set you up on a Retul system. This happened to my mate, and the 'fitter' had to abandon the fit as he had no idea what to do when my mate was horrendously uncomfortable with the measurements the system gave him.

Do you really rate Assos shorts......(serious question).
I do suffer from a saw a^*$e after distance. Tried various saddles (as you may have seen from my posts) and am thinking of trying better shorts.
Cant see a stockist (that actually does stock them) in Warrington and am worried about buying---untried--off the internet.

See your other post about bum pain. Different manufacturers use the same pads manufactured in the same factory and a thick squashy pad is, in my opinion, not the answer as it makes your bum sweat and allows your sit bones to sink into the padding, transferring the load to soft tissue. See my reply there about the importance of correct setup.

I got a free one last year. Mate of mine had booked it and paid, but then had a motorbike accident and smashed his leg and pelvis real he let me have it.

It was interesting, but I'm still somewhat skeptical. I've noticed no difference to comfort or performance so quickly reverted to my own methods, and what makes Retul any better or worse than the other bikes systems with somewhat contradictory techniques?

Pseudoscience alert!

Why would a bike fit be pseudoscience? You see some atrocious setups and some people need help. Just getting the saddle angle right makes a massive difference and some folk need help with that.

I went to Pedal Precision at the MCR velodrome, Richard there was pretty good, not only did he make adjustments to my bike, cleats and shoes, he also did a biomechanical assessment which told me which off bike exercises I should be doing in order to improve my overall biking comfort.

The stuff about shorts padding, sit bones etc.

Mind you, if I needed help with saddle adjustments and the like I'm jiggered if I'm going to spend £100+ on it.
